Why You Aren’t Rich Part One What Ratios? Vs. Ratios!
November 15th, 2002I have to admit, I wrote this article on the 9th but I didn't want to publish it for fear someone would steal my ideas...then I remembered that about 10 people actually read my articles so here it is.
The Star Effect: Do Stars Deserve “That much money?”
November 8th, 2002I have long been fascinated by how the general public reacts to people of "celebrity" status, the "stars" of our society, the people that have made it into the most elite and popular group of society. Most stars have their screaming fans that collectively pour millions of dollars into their pockets allowing them to live an even more elite lifestyle which in turn usually makes them bigger stars.
Michigan’s Hoop Scandal Punishment vs. Real Punishment
November 7th, 2002I am a basketball fan if there ever was one and anyone that knows anything about anything in basketball knows of the Michigan Wolverines. If you don’t know of the success this club has had, might as well stop reading right now and don’t even think about emailing me.
Michigan has admitted it paid basketball players money illegally to participate in basketball games during Michigan's Fabulous Five reign.
Clean Elections Act Great Vs. Not so Great.
November 4th, 2002The courts have supported, denied and then supported Clean Elections Act the opponents to the Act promise to take it to the Supreme Court claiming that it violates the First Amendment.
You can find this argument for Clean Elections Act at http://www.azclean.org/. I have used Arizona as an example; however, three other states have also adopted this act. They are Maine, Massachusetts and Vermont.
Bush and the Economy Spend time campaigning Vs. Spend time on the economy
November 2nd, 2002I have been watching this argument now since congress authorized the President to go to war if needed. The question is if the President with the highest percent, 62%, of the popularity vote in the history of the Presidency at this time in office should be campaigning or if he should be spending that campaigning time working on the economy. While I admit that I should have written this earlier when it was more relevant I still think that the final statements can be made.
