I get this all the time "You are just a conservative tightwad." OK so I've never heard that but I hear that about other so called conservatives. Why is it that being a scrooge and being conservative are accusations that are given in the same sentence?

"Failure to Launch"
The following article blames a litany of events as to why grads are not getting high paying jobs right out of college.

I was cruising through the Internet and there it was. OK so it was on the front page of MSN but this article cracks me up.

In a nut shell it is people complaining about their co-workers. According to the article 53% of people complain about their co-workers being monkeys...that means there are a lot of people who are doing the complaining while being complained about. People complain about everything from the lady in the cubicle next to them talking baby talk, to the boss who gets mad and swears and throws his chair (the article didn't say anything about the chair hitting anyone...).

Richard Chaney's real problem is that he went hunting with a shotgun in the first place. There is a common thread among responsible people and it can be summed up pretty well like this: "Do not put yourself in bad situations." It's not that big of a deal someone was shot with stray pellets from a shotgun. Most people have no idea what happened and just think being shot is a big deal. They don't know the difference between a shotgun and a rifle or a pistol, or a machine gun or an automatic weapon, semi-automatic, side-by-sides verse over and under weapons...therefore they should have no opinion of this matter at all. People do not go to an engineer when they need surgery on their foot. People shouldn't look to non-informed people for opinions either. The big deal is that the Vice President of the United States was the person who shot someone with the stray pellets from a shotgun. That sucks. Anyone else that isn't in your immediate family and who cares. No one cares when someone falls off a bicycle either. When George Bush and John Kerry fall off during their campaigns for president...people care. That's just funny.

Foreign exchange students:
Articles like this one, http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/12649257/, bring out the problem with today’s society. Basically the article says that in order to host foreign exchange students, host families will have to have a background check. My question is why hasn’t this been implemented before? The article says that exchange student abuse happens and that the checks will help weed out the bad hosts…well, yeah.
