Date Busting Behavior The Real List of Bad Habits

I read this article today http://msn.match.com/msn/article.aspx?articleid=2090&TrackingID=516311&BannerID=544659&GT1=3142 and, while I realized that this is yet another thing that drives me insane about people. They are completely ridiculous when it comes to relationships. If breaking up with a guy/girl because you saw him/her pick her nose is on Seinfeld it is funny, if it is in real life, it is ridiculous. Here's a real list of problems.

...

1. Spoiled Pets. Single people like companions like pets. Should you have to get rid of the pet when you find a human companion? No, but choose a pet wisely. Too much hair, too much drooling, or a pet that you let act too much like a human is definitely a bad habit.

2. Leaving the lids off of things. One of the most annoying things is someone that can’t put the lid back on the container. Whether is the milk, medication, expensive perfume or not twisting the bread bag shut, leaving the lids off things is not only irresponsible, it is expensive and inexcusable.

3. All TV All the Time. Turn that %&$*# thing off. There’s nothing more annoying when wanting piece and quite and having to listen to the TV after you have been putting up with it for weeks on end. If the TV isn’t teaching you something or making you laugh, turn it off. The TV is even more annoying when you work at home and it keeps you from being efficient and from making money.

4. Lack of Paying Attention. When you are single, you don’t have to pay attention to anyone. If someone is yelling for you, you can ignore them. If you hear someone yelling for you and you are not single, though, answer them. It’s not just you anymore, you’ve committed to “we” and you hate being ignored so stop ignoring the other person.

5. Misplacing something you use/need often. Contacts, contact cases, glasses, tweezers, nail clippers, slippers, hair brushes, hair ties, coats, and on and on. Even when there is just one of you GET ORGANIZED. Nothing says irresponsible more than spending hours a day trying to find something that you use every day. Put things in one spot and make sure that you keeping putting them there. Your not just wasting your time anymore, you are wasting your partner’s time too and that is unacceptable…at least it should be.

6. Complaining when you could have changed. It is great if you want to wear your high heals for girls, fancy cloths for men, and show off at the mall when you are single. But once you are together everyone knows that you don’t wear high heals when you need to walk comfortably and everyone knows that your fancy cloths can not get dirty. Complaining that your feet hurt after walking awhile or that your cloths are getting dirty or anything similar is absolutely ridiculous. On top of that, constantly complaining period is ridiculous. Grow up, get some self control and endure a little bit. Good grief.

7. Expecting too much. Looking for one person that doesn’t annoy you, ever, has everything that you want in your dream person and doesn’t make you put up with things or change is expecting too much. Not being able to put stupid things that the other person does behind you without them bothering you is ridiculous. Some say that the longer you are single the less you begin to expect but I think that the longer you are single the more you are stuck in your ways and the more the subtleties of another person annoys you.

In short, people are so ridiculous that they cause their own misery and are their own worst enemies.

My Pledge As you may notice in the many articles to come, I absolutely can not stand people that have an opinion about something they know very little about or didn't take the time to research before giving their opinion. I pledge that I will not write a single article about a subject that I don't know enough about to see several sides of the issue. If you think I am missing something, I'd love to be the first to know about it. Other Stuff The opinions expressed in these articles are for discussion purposes only and do not, in anyway, reflect the opinions, voting practices or ideas of Findawish.com, its parent company, its employees and/or their families/friends or its affiliates. Public input is welcome but no response is guaranteed. I am often asked why I don't write a new article every single day. The short answer is that I don't have that much to say. I have quite a few articles that will never be posted because I either feel that I don't know enough about the subject or that I can't defend my stance well enough to allow it to be criticized or critiqued by the general public. If you really want to know how I feel about these articles you should read the source section of my rules to live by articles.
