Rules to live by Reality Vs. Stupidity
I have some serious opinions about people acting stupid. Here they are.
1. People run stop signs and stoplights when "No one is around." Yet the top response when pedestrians are hit and accidents happen in intersections is "I didn't see them; I swear. They just came out of no where!" Learn this and LIVE BY IT.
...
2. People need to learn how to use an ON RAMP to get on a freeway. You must be going the SAME SPEED OR FASTER than the people ALREADY ON the freeway. You wouldn't step onto a tread mill that is moving 25 miles per hour would you? Why would you drive 35 mph onto a freeway with people driving 55-65 mph then? GET REAL. (on a side note, if you do plan to step onto a tread mill that is moving 25 miles per hour can you video that so we can laugh at you? With the tape let me know which treadmill you have that can reach 25 miles per hour. It is an example. GET REAL)
3. People who don't know the current President yet they voted in the American Idol "election" once or worse yet, more than once.
4. Environmentalists that were born and live on the east coast trying to control what is happening on the west coast AND VISA-VERSA. I've seen East coast environmentalists that believe you need to cut crooked trees for posts and poles because those trees produced crooked seed. I've seen WEST coast environmentalists that believe the Great Smokey Mountains are a great place to hike. Don't read it in books, live it and be a part of it. (don't email me about this one) GET REAL
5. People that are against developing natural resources but drive vehicles that get less than 30 miles per gallon, live in a wooden house with wooden furniture, use appliances that are not energy efficient and/or live on the wages of the people that are developing those natural resources. GET REAL
6. People that develop natural resources and don't drive vehicles that get more than 30 miles per gallon, don't live in environmentally friendly houses and don't try to reduce energy waste. GET REAL
7. Cities and budget committees that spend $250,000 plus a year on flowers but can't come up $250,000 for books in schools. GET REAL
8. Parents that can't attend a Parent and Teacher conferences but never miss watching Friends and/or their favorite clubs' happy hour. GET REAL
9. People that think that deer turn into elk and that elk turn into moose. GET REAL
10. People that don't know what deer, elk or moose are yet they live in the U.S. and don't agree with hunting. (I can understand it if you live in a foreign country.)
11. People that complain about being FAT yet continue to eat fast food and never leave the couch unless it is completely necessary. You know who you are. It is one thing to be fat and completely another thing to be fat and doing something about it or not complaining about it. GET REAL
12. People that are paper thin but complain they are fat. GET REAL
13. People that pick on the less fortunate but complain when I tell them they are stupid.
14. People that complain they can't afford college...if you really can't afford it you will eventually get financial aid. GET REAL.
15. People that complain they are broke and are broke, yet they had children when they were 13-20. GET REAL.
16. People that are against abortion when they have never been in that situation, do not have children, have never adopted or had foster children and/or don't pay child support. GET REAL
17. People that are for abortion that don't value the right to life, take precautions against pregnancy and think abortion is a cure all. GET REAL
18. People that have children and do not pay child support. GET REAL
19. People that say they can't find a job but haven't applied for any job that pays at or near minimum wage. Get a job with hours in the evening and then look for another job during the day you bums. If you can't afford to do that you are living too luxuriously, even if you are just eating Top Romen and live in a box and can't afford it, you are living to luxuriously. Get a job, save some money and stop griping. GET REAL
20. People that want to raise the minimum wage but don't want to pay an extra dime for their candy bars. GET REAL
21. People that don't want to raise the minimum wage so they don't have to charge an extra dime for their candy bars. GET REAL
I heard a saying when I was younger that I really like. When an elderly gentleman was approached by a young politician stating why he deserved a vote the elderly gentleman stated "I don't vote; you are all crooks. I don't know which one of you is the lesser crook so how can I put you in office?" Age brings wisdom; it also brings loss of memory and motor functions.
Keep checking back...these came to me in about 30 minutes while I have been interrupted by Trick-Or-Treaters. I'll think of more.
