Chicago The Musical
Chicago The Musical
It's not a movie I went to go see but a play and it was fab! As alway I went with the girls and we made it a night! Everyone dressed the part and the show put the cherry on the top.
Chicago is Broadway's "sexy smash hit " and it was everything it promised. A dark comedy that centers on a tale of fame, fortune and all that jazz! There was great dancing, well there was one part of the stage that looked...odd at times with sloppy footwork and sluggish lines, but that is besides the point. Our production featured Brenda Braxton as Velma Kelly and Bianca Marroquin as Roxie Hart. All were sexy, devious, and laugh-out-loud hilarious.
During intermission we had to parch our thirsty mouths, for about 5 minutes! It was so short we had to guzzle our drinks and it wasn't easy, some of us had double fisted it! The second half of the show was more outragous! It featured sexy and more superb sining and my heart did got out to the most understated performace of Amos played by Tom Riis Farrell and his rendition of "Mister Cellophane". AND, My night was definately made even better, when we found out that Roxie wasn't pregnant and a member of the audiance was truely shocked she wasn't pregnant and yelled "what!". Maybe that guy didn't guzzel two drinks, but four!
After the show we rushed over to Orso and "discussed" what we loved and didn't like about the show. Then we devoured some fabulous Tiramuse and a couple more drinks to quiench our thirst. I'm sure we made our server mad showing up twenty mintues before they closed, oh and being, loud...oh well, payback right?
Best part of the night is when we saw the Cast and Crew at the Glacier Brewhouse (dang we should have gone there) and we gushed about how wonderful they were. Yes, we did the goofy fan fopah...
