Movie Ratings and Reviews

Why? Why do I put myself through these types of movies?  Oh yeah! That's right those critics...geeze.  I should know better by now.

The critics called this movie a thrilling, suspenseful story that is "Spellbinding!"  Well, all I really felt throughout the movie was that creepy feeling you get when you're in a pitch black, long hall way, with mutiple doors that are locked and you're being chased by a serial killer!  Maybe it was the nails on a chalkboard screech the "machine's" kept emitting, or that the "nine" characters basic structure is unsettling or that the plot is very...original...cough...weird!  The last human is the scientist who created the "machine" splits his soul into nine beings he created and now they are the last hope of humanity. 

Follow up:

I kept thinking maybe they meant twisted, strange, shocking, trippy...oh that's right...Tim Burton is in the title!  But, I might be wrong there are people who like these types of movies and Tim Burton does have a fan base, so who am I to judge.  There is a positive to the movie; all the vibes I kept feeling where because the animation was very believable all one-hour-and-twenty minutes...ugh.
