I’m so tired of all the gory morbid movies! Yes they can, and do, have an audience but that is all that seems to be out there. I’m glad that this movie is focused on love and how meeting the right person makes you feel giddy and a total mess but whole at the same time, even if it is with a Vampire. I was laughing out loud in the movie theater and I was amazed the movie made me want to be in love with an immortal being.

Follow up:

If you read the books, the movie doesn’t quite follow the same timeline but if they did try it would be a 5 hour movie! Since the books are written in first person, you would have to have a narrator talking the throughout the movie; that would have sucked. A movie is a completely different medium and we all know we will miss a few things from the transition of the book to the movie.

All in all it’s a wonderfully done movie and it makes me happy to be able to see a movie that isn’t going to give me nightmares yet dwells in a fantasy. The movie isn’t over acted by actors trying to hard to win a Golden Globe and yet it has good love story to tell. I’m excited to follow the movies and anything else that has to do with the Twilight Saga.

Rating: 5 Review: Wonderful Fantasy.
