by Lynn Viehl
Jessa Bellamy has an extrodinary power, with one touch she can see anyone's darkest secrets. What she doesn't know is she's been discovered and because of her talent her DNA has become priceless. Saved by Gaven Matthais the mysterious man whos secrets she can't read. Gaven has to convience her he can protect her and that there are others out there like her...and him.
The first few chapters had me confused but once I understood what Jessa's powers where and a better understanding of who Gaven was I couldn't put it down! The villian is very evil and you get to feel how crazy he's really become. I look forward to meeting the other Kyndred out there and how they are connect to the Darkyn.

A Hunger Like No Other
(Immortals After Dark Series, Book 1)
by Kresley Cole
Luchlain MacRieve has been tortured for years and is the Lykae Clan's Leader. His millennia long search for his destined mate is finally over after "smelling" her. He becomes enraged after he finds out, Emmaline his mate is a half Vampire/half Valkyrie. The begining of this book is so intense and instantly captures your interest. I also really enjoyed how Kresley Cole incorporates Luchlain's very Scottish accent into her writing with the references to no' and lass: so clever. At first, I did have a hard time with was the title and cover art it's very old fashioned romance cover and a painting not a picture, but describes the book (and of course after reading the book I LOVED it). It was hard to get over but since I read my books digital format (thanks to eBooks.com) on the my N810, no one see's what i'm reading! Yea, for technology!
I love this Immortals After Dark Sereis by Kresley Cole. I haven't read her other stories but i'm sure they are just as good. Kresley Cole Offical Website

Dark Lover
(Black Dagger Brotherhood, Book 1)
by J.R. Ward
Put everything you know about vampires away and read J.R. Ward's spin on vampires. One where you are born into being a vampire. "Dark Lover" is definatly dark, erotic and modern. Meet the Black Dagger Brotherhood, a band of six shit kicker wearing vampire warriors who protect their race from their enemy the Lessers. Wrath, the only pure-breed vampire left on earth and King of the vampires, loves nothing better than to fight the enemy while wearing black leather pants. When one of his best fighters and friend, Darius, is killed, Wrath is left to fulfill his dead friends request. Help his half-breed daughter who is unaware of her future and must go through the transition to become a vampire or die.
Great book, J.R. Ward has a wonderful quirky writing style that made me laugh and instanly got my attention. Once I started reading this book I couldn't put it down! Now to read the next book in the series... J.R. Ward Offical Website and thanks to eBooks.com for making my new passion of reading, even easier!
The Laughing Corpse by Laurell K Hamilton (Anita Blake Series, Book 2)

Anita Blake Vampire Hunter works for Animators, Inc., and is offered a million dollars by Harold Gaynor to raise a 300-year-old zombie. In order to raise a zombie that old a human sacrifice will be necessary but Anita is not a murderer. Once she turns Gaynor down she must fight with the voodoo priest she suspects raised the zombie which is now on a killing spree. In this book, Anita's reputation as one of the best animators out there is emphazied as well as the ever present bond she has to Jean-Claude.
"The Laughing Corpse" is not for the faint of heart or stomach. I'm not much of a horror fan but the author not only focused on the gruesome but the ever building, ever complex world of Anita Blake. Check out Laurell K. Hamilton's Offical Website
