FAQ1: What is this site all about?

11/02/08 | by admin [mail] | Categories: FAQ

This site is for all of the people who want to publish a letter to the editor but, for various reasons, have been declined. You can publish your letter if it is a response to a published letter (yes you can include the link), start a new letter to the editor or reply on someone's behalf.

We do not accept all letters.

Submit your article, we will review it and post it if it is appropriate. If we like the letter but it has pieces we can not publish, we may contact you directly asking you to re-word those parts.

We think we can all agree that some civility is required to keep the peace. For those who do not agree, that's OK. We know you are stupid. Hopefully you'll wake up and realize that you are stupid just like the rest of us some day.

Welcome to findawish.com: Letters to the Editor beta site It has long been known that newspapers suck. Let's face it...you have some know it all who tells you what they want you to hear, in a limited space, in order to sell newspaper ads. How many times have you wanted to reach through an article and let the author have a piece of your mind? All fired up, you write a great letter and let them have it, only to find that they won't accept it. Let them have it; we have provided a space for the world to see. Our online articles draw a respectable amount [number] of hits per day. We'll do our best with this beta site to get your message into the public's eye and (if nothing else) you'll get some therapy from writing a good letter and knowing someone is listening. Every, and we do mean EVERY, editor we have ever spoken with has told us that they do not believe controversy sells newspapers. They [who are they saying this] say it's a myth. They are lying. We see it in our own articles. Of course we write more articles of disagreement because of readership. We truly disagree and are passionate about it. Agree or disagree, defend a friend, family member, stranger or yourself; we want your articles. Let us have it. It's this simple: 1. Write a letter to any editor. 2. Get rejected by the newspaper (we'll accept your letter even if it was published). 3. Get ticked off. 4. Modify your letter (if needed) 5. Post it with us and get your article accepted. (the easy part) 6. Read your letter online and listen to others speak out against it.
